New Features for 2009!

We hope you find our web site useful as you seek information about the great sport of fishing. We want to emphasize that ILFishing.com is a multi-species site, interested in all methods of fishing for all kinds of fish. As always, access to our pages is free, with no passwords to use nor forms to fill out.

ILFishing.com has changed the Youth Fishing section to Fishing 101. This area will still contain links to basic fishing information, as well as safety and conservation, games and puzzles, and links to sites that help anyone learn about fishing.

Youth fishing articles, events, and photos will still be a welcome part of ILFishing.com, but those items will be included in the original Article & Tips, Events, and Photo Gallery pages. Links to these areas are on the left of all our pages.

We welcome fishermen of all ages to submit their photos, stories, and events to be included on ILFishing.com. Click on the "Submit Photos/Articles" link in the the red box at the bottom of the page for details. Again, there is no cost to submit them and entry in our drawings is free.

Our Fish Photo Drawing will be returning for 2009 with more prizes for those who submit fish photos. Rules will be posted on our Prizes Page, which can be accessed by clicking on the prize icon in the upper right corner of main pages. Visit our Photo Gallery to see entries.

A very important part of utilizing ILFishing.com is the Site Search feature. This will enable you to more easily find our fishing information by simply entering the name of a lake, fishing season, species of fish, etc. It is located in the middle section of our main pages.

Don't forget to take advantage of our Fishing Forums. Here you can discuss and ask about all aspects of fishing, including fishing destinations, techniques, lures, equipment, events, fishing clubs, and more.

In our effort to provide a comprehensive source of information for those who fish in Illinois, ILFishing.com will continue to provide and expand our lists of Illinois fishing clubs, tournament groups, bait shops, guides, map sources, boat dealers, DNR links, marinas, and fishing web sites and media.
